Our staff and board members had the opportunity to tour the Carver Center for Families in Georgetown, Texas. As a family resource center (FRC), the Carver Center is dedicated to nurturing the health and well-being of children, youth, and families, while leveraging the strengths of our community’s caregivers and residents.
We were able to get an exclusive glimpse into the incredible work being done by local non-profits like Bridges to Growth, a Georgetown Project initiative focused on building skills and confidence in parents and childcare providers. From training and teaching aids to ESL classes and support groups, Bridges to Growth is making a profound impact on the early development of our youngest community members.
But that’s not all! At the Carver Center, there are other valuable resources and partnerships with organizations like The Georgetown Health Foundation, WIC, Starry, and GTX Connect, all working together to create a brighter future for Georgetown families.
